All of us national research program seeking ArkLaTex participants

All of Us Research Program seeking 1 million participants

The All of Us Research program is now available in Northwest Louisiana. This is a program of the National Institutes of Health to advance precision medicine for more people and more conditions. Participation is open to all and will have access to their information and security and privacy will be of highest importance.

Participants will be asked to share information about their health, environment, and lifestyle over time. Researchers will use this data to make new discoveries about prevention, treatment, and hopefully cures of various medical conditions.

Precision medicine focuses on the individual and takes into account factors like where people live, what they do, their genetic makeup, and their family history. One of it goals is being able to tell people the best ways to stay healthy. If a person gets sick, then precision medicine may help health care professionals find the best treatment for the individual.

Participants are adults ages 18 and older and will register, at no charge, in this research program via secured internet website at www.joinallofus.org In addition, there are apps from the Apple and Google Play available for your smartphones and devices.

Over million participants is the goal of this research program to reflect rich diversity of America, including races, ethnicities, age groups, geographic regions, gender identities, sexual orientation, and health statuses. Participants will be partners and not subjects in this research and will be able to lead from this results of this study.
