The Best of Times receives 15 awards

at national publishers convention

The Best of Times, a free monthly newsmagazine for mature adults in Northwest Louisiana, received fifteen (15) national awards, including the prestigious first place award in the overall Best of Show category at the annual meeting of the North American Mature Publishers Association (NAMPA) held in St. Louis, Missouri in early November. 

Publications were judged in a variety of categories by a panel of experts from the University of Missouri School of Journalism.

The judges presented the following comment about The Best of Times: “This magazine combines passionate watchdog reporting with a healthy array of expert columnists, all in the name of looking out for its audience. It’s a serious read that the civic-minded are certain to appreciate.”

The Best of Times received the following awards in various categories, which included nine (9) first place and six (6) second place awards:
